Pre Engineered Metal Buildings
PEMB construction for industrial warehouses, shops, and manufacturing facilities.
Pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) provide cost-effective enclosures for industrial facilities throughout the DFW Metroplex. These factory-designed, shop-fabricated steel building systems offer speed, efficiency, and value for manufacturing, warehouse, and industrial applications. As your general contractor, we handle complete PEMB construction from site work through turnover.
PEMB systems include primary frames, secondary framing, wall and roof panels, and all hardware manufactured as an integrated system. Buildings are designed to specific requirements: clear spans, crane loads, door and window openings, and local wind and seismic conditions. This engineered approach optimizes material use.
Erection of pre-engineered buildings follows manufacturer sequences for efficiency and safety. Steel components arrive in trucked loads according to an erection schedule. We manage receiving, staging, and sequential erection to maintain project momentum. Experience with the major PEMB manufacturers allows efficient installation.
Metal buildings accept various finishes and can be designed to complement any architectural context. Factory-painted wall panels are available in numerous colors. Masonry and glass can be integrated into the design. Interior liner panels provide finished ceilings and walls for office areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does PEMB construction take?
Building manufacturing runs 8-16 weeks from order depending on manufacturer backlog and complexity. Erection of a typical 50,000 square foot building takes 4-6 weeks. Complete project including site work typically runs 6-9 months.
What clear spans are possible?
Standard single-span buildings can achieve 200 feet or more. Multi-span buildings with interior columns are economical for very wide buildings. Clear height is generally limited to 40-60 feet for single-span buildings, though higher is possible with special engineering.
Can metal buildings include overhead cranes?
Yes. Crane buildings are a specialty application where PEMB excels. Buildings can be designed for top-running or under-hung cranes from 5 to 50 tons or more. Crane loads affect building design significantly. Early involvement of the crane supplier is important.
How do metal buildings compare to tilt-wall?
PEMB offers faster construction and lower cost for basic enclosures. Tilt-wall provides more durable, permanent structures with better fire ratings and aesthetics. Many projects combine the systems: tilt-wall front and offices with PEMB warehouse behind.
What insulation options are available?
Standard insulation is fiberglass batts with vapor barrier. Higher performance applications can use rigid insulation with liner panels for improved thermal performance. Insulated metal panels provide excellent thermal performance and finished interiors in one product.
